Percy Jackson The Lightning Theif

The movie we were watching in Globaloria is the lightning theif.He is a demigod witch means that he is a half blood a human and a god.He is a boy that is deslexic and is in a school called Yancy Academy.He has a best friend who's named Groover who turns out to be his protecter.He is in danger because every god thinks he stoled the lightning bolt.Percy's dad is named Poseidon he is the god of water.So he goes to the camp for half bloods with grover who is a Sader witch is a half goat and human.He is sad and mad because a minotaur crushed his mom.Percy he meets a girl named Anibeth she is the dauter of the god of skill.Groover,Percy,and Anibeth go to the under world to rescue his mom they rescue his mom and Percy returns the lightning bolt to Zues amd everything turns out ok. 

The Last Dance

The thing I am going to talk about is the dance that went on a couple of weeks ago.Our last dance was so fun becuase there was stuff lighting up everywhere.I and bought a light up thing that was small and it was mad to put in your mouth.The dance was awsome because I got to dance with everybody.It was also fun becuase I got to hang out with my friends.

Apollo 13

The movie we watched was called Apollo 13.It was about the people that tryed to go to the moon but their oxygen tank exploded and they had to restore the C02 level.Then after they did that they had to go back to earth.Everybody was scared because it was dangerous,also people was sad because they were going to the moon but their tank had busted and their C02 level was going up to high,and they were about to die then they saved themselves by they space center in houston told them how to fix it.When they came home everybody was happy to see them and they were rembered for a long time.

The Lightning Thief-Chapter 1

Yesterday we read the book the lightning thief.We read the first chapter it was about this boy named Percy Jackson.He goes to a school called Yancy Academy.He is a half blood and doesn't like being one.He thinks it is horrible being a half blood.He is very bad,they go to a museum with his favorite teacher and his worst teacher.There was a girl named Nancy and Ms.Doods(his worst teacher)always takes her side.Both of the teachers said that if anything happens then he will be in trouble.

Favorite Field Trip

My favorite field trip is when I went to a U.T. basketball game with my school last year.It was cool because it was my first time going to a real basketball game it was awesome.I got to be on TV and my mom was so happy.I was happy to because it was my real first time being anywhere like that.I was sad when it ended but I was happy I went. 

Anything

Today I can write about anything I want to.I am going to talk about basketball.The Heat lost to the Bulls.That really sucks becuase I bet alot of people the heat was going to win.At first we were up then they came back and beat us by 20 points.The Bulls really played a good game but it was all luck.

What Ever I Want

What I am going to talk about is how my weekend went.It was kind of boring except I got to sleep and eat all day.My mom cooked a big feast and I ate it all up.It was cornbread, beans, enchiladas, and lastly I fixed some brownies they were so good.They only bad part was that I was so sleepy I went to sleep at about 7 or 8'oclock.Still it was a good weekend because I got to hang out with my mom,my sister,and my step dad it was awsome.

Stand And Deliver

The movie we were watching was stand and deliver.It was about a school named Garfield High school who was a really bad school academically.There were Cholos,Latinos and allot of bad high school kids.I think this movie was about racism because when they took their test and when they got a high score the people thought were cheating all because they were all Latino and come from a bad neighbor hood and on their usual tests they got lower grades before this dude came and teached them calculus and changed their lives his name was Jaime Escalante.At first all the students were bad and everything until Mr.Escalante came along and put them in cheak and got them smart.

The Big Test

I am kind of worried about the big tasks test but I am sure I am going to pass.At the same time I am very,very exited.Still I am also nervous because this is a big test.My mom said if I pass I can go to Austin Parks and Pizza.I really can't wait till it comes so I can get it over and be pass sixth grade.

IPads For Kids

I think kids having ipads is a good thing and a bad thing.Its good because kids can have a better way to learn and experiance new stuff.Also it is good because it will make kids want to learn and come to school rather than just getting up not wanting to go to school,go to school and using a boring thing to learn with like a text book.I think it is a bad thing because kids will get destracted and stop wanting to work it would be a big destraction.It is also bad because kids will take advanage of their ipad and do other stuff and get out of control.That is what I think about kids haveing ipads.

Game Demo Progress

We have made allot of progress on our game demo.I got to put some information on the wiki and stuff like that.Cristian has made some progress on the game demo to.He has changed the color of the screen to red and black our favorite colors.He also has also put our title screen on the title page.We have learned allot of new things in flash I learned how to copy one picture from one flash drive and put it on the other flash drive.I havve also made some accompolishments in my game to I have got the characters to move and run away I hace also created a character witha big head and a little body.

Playing Game Idea's

The game I really like on cool math is the game called jumping aroows.I like the game because you have to think before you move and do what you want to do.That is how I want my game to be.Where people have to think before they do anything.I also want to learn how to make my characters respond to using the aroows.

Game Progress Reflection

I have learned alot in flash since we started our games.At first I didn't even know what flash was untill we started working with flash.I also learned how to use the pen tool and everything.I am proud of this cool drawing I have made it is of a police man that runs back and foward.I have helped alot of people make buttons and stuff like that.The hardest thing that I have went though in my game is makeing the characters move side to side.I am really impressed with myself and whaty I have done.

The Blind Side

The movie we were watching was The Blind Side.It was about a boy named Micheal(A.K.A. Big Mich).He was a runt that was going from foster home to foster home because his real mom was on drugs.He was going to a school with a friend of his and other family friend Tony that he is living with.The principle saw Big Mich playing sport on the playground and he got accepted to that school.When Micheal goes home with Tony he hears Tony and his Wife saying they cant take care of him no more.He lives on the street and goes to the landrymat to was his cloths.He goes to school and meets a kid named S.J. and they become friends.S.J. and his family takes him in and lets him stay with them.As he is living with them he starts to play football and is really good at it.He is so good that everyone from different colleges want him to play for the if he gets his grades up.He gets a touter named Ms.Sue and she teaches him good.He passes high school and goes to Ole Miss where His new mom Leigh Ann Tuohy and his new dad Sean Tuohy and his new sister Collins Tuohy will eventually go.S.J. the one who tought him how to acually play football with house food suplies as Michaels little brother he got promised to work with the team.Collins his sister later on went to Ole Miss as a cheer leader. 

Cool Math

The game I am going to talk about is B-Cubed.I picked this game because you have to put allot of effort and allot of strategy.I want to put this in my game because I want people to have to use allot of stradegy and allot of brain into my gamme,when they play it.I love the game because it challenges my brain to keep playing and succed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 

Whatever It Takes

It is about the school The Bronx Center for Science and mathematics.In the naborhood of the school the  kids and teens are hard core and book and street smart.There are now 108 students in the school the Bronx.The principal wanted to work as a bisness man and retire by 30 and live his life.Then god sent him a sighn that he should work as a teacher.A girl named Sharifea got tooken away from her mother because her mother was on drugs.Sharifea later on gets to be one of the eight students that got exepted into The Dartmouth Program.

The Wizard

We watched a movie called The Wizard.It was first about a boy that ran away from home to go to california.He eventually got found and brought back home to his mother by the police.Cory his bigger brother is going to take the boy Jimmy to california.People are looking for them Cory and the Jimmy.Will they are walking and catching rides there it is a really really long way.Will they were in a market they meet a girl named Haily that is on a trip around.She trys to make them money by playing games.When they were going around they cought a ride in a truck.Will the were counting their money the drivers saw and they jacked all their money but Cory stuffed some in his pants.Jimmy plays more games and thye earn more money.They find a good player at all the games named Lucus.Jimmy quits because Lucus got a really high score.Will they are walking they get jacked agian by some boys they beat.Jimmy is sad because his twin sister.They want to win the game contest for some money.Jimmy practices and gets good at alot of games.Later on in the movie they go to the game contest and they go to the finals.They have 10 minutes until the finals start.Lucus is in the finals and he tells the people that are looking for the kids where they are.They chase them and almost get disqualified but when the contest started Jimmy was there.He ends up winning and getting the money.Jimmy goes to california were some fake dinosors were and went inside,he sits his box with pictures of him and his twin sister.The whole reason Jimmy wanted to go there was because that was the last place he was really with his twin sister until she died.

Spring Break

Future

I think my life will be kind of difficult.I think I will be designing my own games.I will make all kinds of games like learning games and shooting games and stuff like that.I will probaly be in my own big house with alot of money.I will have a butiful family and everything.That is why I like Globaloria because it has made me develop a new likeing in makeing games.

Paper Pototype Reflection

My paper prototype has helped me plan my game by getting a new idea of my game.My game used to be about dog catchers catching dogs and abusing them,but now my game is about dog fighting and why dog fighting is bad.First my paper prototype was kind of boring because I figured out that dog catchers don't abuse the dogs.They actually help them by getting them of the streets and keeping them heathy.Now my real game idea is dog fighting because I think it is an important topic that people don't focuse on enough.

My game is about dog fighting.Also why dog fighting is bad.I picked this topic because I think dog fighting is an important topic that people don't worry about to much.I also think that it is wrong to fight dog just for a little money.

Malcom X

Malcolm X has allot of power for one person.In his time that was a really big thing for everybody because back then if you were black you were most likely to no be successful.When Malcolm became a famous priest his word was mainly that white people were devils.Then when he went to Egypt and Arabia in Mecca so he can learn more about his Muslim religion.he found out that Muslims are White,Black,and Hispanic and that he should stop preaching the word about white people.When he came back from the place he was at he was in his house and somebody set a fire on his house because the were hating because he mainly had to much power.After that he went into a deep depression.Later on while he was at a auditorium somebody shot him and got away after he was rushed to hospital he died.

More Thoughts About Globaloria

At the beginning of the school year I really didn't really like computers because I thought the computers were boring.Now that we have gone deeper into the school year I am starting to think computers,and technology,and video games are fun,exiting,and full of fun.I really think Globaloria has really made an impact on my life.Every since I have started Globaloria at home I have been going to the website that they showed me and have been constructing my own game.

Learning Goal

Our learning topic is Dog Fighting and why people should stop dog fighting.Dog Fighting is bad because it can hurt your dog and give your dog infections.What I really want to do is stop Dog Fighting so the dogs wont get hurt because I love dogs and I think dog fighting is a bad thing.Some facts about dog fighting is that dog fighting really started in the years 1897-2007.The people that mainly dog fight is African American,Hispanic,Caucasian.Dogs that fight can make their owners millions and millions of dollars.Dog Fighting wasn't really a big deal until Michael Vick killed 6-8 dogs on tape.

The Main Idea

I think the main idea for mad hot ball room is that kids don't have to be on the streets to be something.That is why they started up the program is to let kids experience something new.They saw that most of the kids were most likely going to end up in the streets or in jail.Most of the kids there since they started the program they have not been getting in trouble and that now they have learned more responsibilities.Now they don't have to face the consequences of getting in trouble

Mad hot ball room has been about some 5th graders from different schools that are in a dancing competition against each other.One team is in New York.The other team is in Brooklyn and they are very good.Every school that's in it never learned how to dance but they learn how to dance in the program.

Malcom X

This movie so far Malcolm X had a bar fight because a man talked about his mother.Also will at the bar he got a job for this man as a lotto person.Later on Malcolm X get mad because some man is flirting with his X girlfriend.Malcolm now won the lotto but they think he's lying.Also people are trying to kill him.Kids get taken away from the prests wife beacuse he died.Malcolm X is a thug and goes to jail because he is dating a white women will in jail he submits his life to being a muslum.Later on he gets out of jail and becomes a precher an preches the bible to people.Will he is a precher he follows mahamid and people are trying to tell him not to follow him any more.He now has a baby by a white girl he hasn't married.That is agianst his relegin so now he can't go into the church anymore.

The advice the royal guard say to prince Kasim and Indy.But Kasim doesn't listen and he puts on the amulet.Then a tiger is found watching or stalking the area where Indy is,Indy notices that Kasim has weirdly disappeared into no where.What I wonder is if his friend could have turned into a tiger or as the royal guard said a were tiger.Now it is up to Indiana Jones to find out and save his new best friend from the curse of the tiger amulet!!!!!!!!!!!

My Life

What I want to be when I grow up is a boxer.So when I wake up I practice with my punching bag.I learn new stuff every day.I go to the recreation center and I practice with my trainer.The second thing I want to be is a N.F.L. player.I practice alot everyday when I get home from school I go outside with my friend Bobby and practice but every time I get better and better.I think he is mad now but it is always dissapointing when the learner passes up the master!!

My Character's Story

Once upon a time there was a child named Smurfy and he really cared about animals.He was raised by a beautiful mother and father.He didn't want animals to get abused because when he turned 5 years old his mom got him a dog that he loved very much.So when he heard about all the dogs and other animals getting abused he developed anger issues.One day Smurfy went to school where somebody had figured out he secret that he was a animal person.So everybody was making fun of him so of course he got very very angry,so when he found out who had told every body it was Michael Martines.Later on that day he told Michael to meet him out side and they fought.Michael ended up getting beat up really bad and Smurfy was suspended from school.He then decided in his free time he would use his fighting skills and anger to save dogs and other animals.Now he is know as the dog saver and everyone praises him and now he is famous and has joined anger management and boxing to get all is anger out.

Anything I want

Teams

Working in teams have been many things there has been ups and downs but it has been mostly fun.I really like working in teams but it has its downs also.The main problems in it are that you can't go ahead or do completely what you want to do.Some advantages are that if you get stuck then you can ask your partner about your problem and they can help you.Also if you run out of ideas you can ask your partner.Those are the disadvantages and advantages about having partners to work with.

The Pack

The movie that we watched on Friday was called the pack.It was about some children that were the first of their family to go to college.Their parents have jobs that don't pay much.One of the children wrote a book about his 3rd grade teacher and how he went on to become a doctor. When I saw more of the movie I started to make connections because the children have alot of dreams about the what they want to be when they are older just like me like one of them wanted to be a doctor like me.This is what we watched on friday.

The Hoopster

the book I have been reading is called The Hoopster.It is about this boy that is 17 and he is really good at basketball.He has been named the hoopster therefore he is the one who rules the basketball court.He also has a job at this magazine thing and he has got denied about 5 times in a row and that means his job is not going so good.

Winter Break

My winter break was so cool and also long and also fun.I am kind of glad to be back because I truthfully I am ready for the summer to come so I can be off of school.My most favorite part about the winter break was Christmas.I love this Christmas because I got everything I wanted.What I got was a red Wii and so new shoes which are so so so cool,and mostly I got some new cloths,lastly I got some new games for my new Wii I got Epic Mickey,Wii Play,Wii Sports,and last of all I got the New Super Mario Bros.The only bad thing about what I got was that every body in the whole world got the red Wii and just because it is in limided adition doesn't mean that everyone has to copy me and get it.I wanted to be the only one with it,but no now evertyone has                                                it.
